What can we say? We here at Movies You May Have Missed really like J.D. Salinger. So much so, that this film's blatant homage to Catcher in the Rye kinda gave us the warm fuzzies. Igby Goes Down features an incredible cast (with some really unexpected break out performances), great city cinemetography, and a charming story of a wandering youth. Don't be fake! Check it out: Buy 'Igby Goes Down' on DVD! Rent and watch 'Igby Goes Down' instantly using Amazon Video on Demand!

Guest episodes are so much fun, and we can think of few finer guests than the lovely Tara Platt . She's a true renaissance woman: on-camera/voice over actress, producer, and now author. She brought the movie this week, and it truly was an MYMHM. This 1998 comedy, starring Stanley Tucci and Oliver Platt plus featuring an incredible cast, was completely not on our radar, and pays homage to comedy classics like Buster Keaton, Chaplin, Laurel and Hardy, and The Marx Brothers. Here's what we thought: Buy 'The Impostors' on DVD! And voice actors, don't forget to check out Tara's book (co-authored with Yuri Lowenthal) Voice-Over Voice Actor !

What happens when you take a fairly well respected playwrite, let him write and direct his script, and then cast Colin Farrel, Ralph Fienes, and Brendan Gleeson? You get 'In Bruges' of course! Martin McDonagh's sophmore film venture was lauded with praise last year including an Academy Awards nomination for Best Screenplay, a BAFTA win for Best Screenplay, and a Golden Globes win for Farrel. This crime-drama/dark comedy is ridiculously charming and one we hope you wont miss. We here at MYMHM also wanted to deliver a special shout-out to Twitter friend and fan @KGLucas, who suggested this film as part of our week 3 t-shirt contest, but we had already shot the episode posted above. And speaking of t-shirts, this also marks THE LAST WEEK of our Last Exit To Nowhere t-shirt giveaway. Wanna a shot at the last shirt? Better watch the episode! Buy 'In Bruges' on DVD!

For the longest time I thought 'Man Bites Dog' was a French film. Turns out it's Belgian. Shows how continental I am. Anywho, this movie is a true gem, and an incredible achievement in ultra low budget, student film making. Did I mention it's in the Criterion collection? It's a super dark comedic mockumentary! This also marks the beginning of our SECOND Last Exit to Nowhere t-shirt giveaways! How can you win? Watch the episode to find out!

In a move that I'm sure will shock many of our viewers after our review of 'Breaking the Waves' , we've decided to go back to the well of Lars Von Trier for 'The Five Obstructions' This is also our most contentious episode yet, while we both enjoyed the movie, we very much disagreed on Lars' role in the film. Also! CONTEST! WOOT! We're super excited to be partnered with Last Exit To Nowhere t-shirts , and we'll be giving away one shirt a week for five weeks.

After last week's flick, it was time to lighten the mood just a little bit. Justin Lin's Asian-American teen crime drama 'Better Luck Tomorrow' was the perfect way to clense the pallet. I could wax poetic, but IMDB user Jane Liu had a great quote (which I'm gonna steal here): But if anything, at least this movie is not about kung fu fighting Chinese actors coupled with black or white male leads in movies like "Bulletproof Monk". Justin Lin's "Better Luck Tomorrow" aptly reminds the audience that Chow Young Fat, Jet Li, and Jackie Chan are not Asian-American men!

This week's film was a fan shout out: Hey all Love the show. I have seen a handful of the ones you have reviewed already. Have you seen or heard of the movie "Breaking The Waves" by Lars Von Trier? I personally consider it the best movie ever made. It is so great I don't even know if I like it or not. It emotionally guts you like a pig. Highly recommend it. Lyle Minneapolis This is the first film of Lars Von Trier's "Golden Heart Trilogy", and stars Emily Watson and Stellan Skarsgård. It's an incredible piece of film, but did we like it? Juan also wanted to throw a quick shout out to a "blink and you'll miss it" cameo from Udo Kier. Juan spent WAY too much time playing Red Alert 2...

Watching 'A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints' is really like looking in a mirror. You know, growing up on the mean streets of the 505... Yeah... Hard living... This is an incredible coming of age story staring Shia LaBeouf, Channing Tatum, Robert Downey Jr, Dianne Wiest, Rosario Dawson, and Chazz Palminteri.
MYMHM03v - Lee n Juan spend some time with a Roger Corman 1960's Exploitation Classic (NSFW)

***NOTE*** This episode of MYMHM features language which makes it unsuitable for younger viewers and NSFW. In this episode we take a look at THREE Roger Corman films, and review them ALL AT THE SAME TIME! Because THEY'RE THE SAME FILM! William Shatner stars in this Roger Corman film about a racist anti-integrationist lobbyist. 1960's black and white exploitation at its finest!

For our first episode we take a look at the 2006 independent film 'The Fall', directed by Tarsem ('The Cell') and starring Lee Pace (Pushing Daisies). Also Marvel at Lee's pen throwing ability, as he almost takes out a $1500 piece of L glass. Thank jeebus for UV filters...
