      <link>http://vodcast.gmx.net/channel/view/233-pulp-secret-comics-news-and-reviews/86259</link>
<description>Pete's a big fan of Ultimate Human #4 but Justin's not having it and says there's a Duck Tales reference in there somewhere. Hmmmm. Then, we've made it all the way to Countdown #1 and we've gotta say, we haven't really been bowled over by this series. It just didn't pan out and we didn't need 52 issues of this. The Secret Invasion is on in New Avengers #40 with Bendis at the reins. We really enjoyed this issue, but we think putting this great story under the "New Avengers" title does this story a disservice. In this speed round we check out Mice Templar #4, Everybody's Dead #2, Hulk Vs. Hercules One Shot, Secret History of Authority: Hawksmoor #2, and Checkmate #25.In our viewer mail, we talk about what our thoughts are on Will Eisner's The Spirit movie after all was saw and heard at New York Comic Con.

      <link>http://vodcast.gmx.net/channel/view/233-pulp-secret-comics-news-and-reviews/86261</link>
<description>BE CAREFUL, Secret Invasion Spoilers ahead! The Mighty Avengers #12 begins the Secret Invasion event. Here we're getting into some Skrull stuff, but our only complaint is that this is hardly a Mighty Avengers book. Wonderlost is a recounting of the writer's many loves told over several short stories. Pete likens it to porn, but Alex says it's very well done and says "pick it up". Captain Marvel #5 is the last issue in a 5 book series. Captain Marvel is rejoining the Marvel universe and becomes a part of the Secret Invasion storyline. In the Speed Round we talk about Captain Action #1, Perhapnauts #1, Countdown to Final Crisis #2, Hero By Night #3 and Pigeons from Hell #1. And in our viewer mail we talk about emotional reactions to comic books.

      <link>http://vodcast.gmx.net/channel/view/233-pulp-secret-comics-news-and-reviews/86268</link>
<description>We enjoyed Powers Annual #1. It does a good job as any annual should of telling a good story that stands alone, while being part of the current story line. Then we check out Locke &amp; Key #3 which we all really liked. It's really well written and horrifying without being overly blood-spattered. Plus, the artwork is top notch. Iron Man: Legacy of Doom #1 gets a 2 out of 3. Justin's just not on board because of "schlockiness". And that's exactly why Alex liked it - it's old school and feels like an old comic. Then in the Speed Round we've got Green Lantern Corps #23, Scud: The Disposable Assassin #23, Criminal #2, Suburban Glamour #4 and Echo #2. Rounding out this edition of The Stack Alex gets back to you with answers to viewer mail.

<title>All Ages Comics! Power Pack Day One, Wolverine FC and More!</title>
      <link>http://vodcast.gmx.net/channel/view/233-pulp-secret-comics-news-and-reviews/86276</link>
<description>We're checking out all-ages titles in this episode. Starting with Power Pack Day One #1, which is a retelling of the Power Pack's origin, Marvel's premiere team of super kids. We really enjoyed this book and not just because there's ponies in it!Then we take a look at The Goblin Chronicles #1. We're split on this one. It's being billed as Shrek meets the Lord of the Rings. The art is great, but there are some issues here.We picked up Wolverine First Class #1, another all-ages title this week. Pete didn't like the berzerker rage that Wolverine goes into. And Alex, the Kitty Pryde fan of the group, has a lot to be happy about here. We really enjoyed this title and hope you pick it up, too.And finally, we discuss: Are all-ages comics necessary? Comics are supposed to be for everyone, so why are there all-ages comics? As a kid, wouldn't you rather read a title that's more adult? We'll talk about all these issues in this edition of The Stack!

But it tells the history using old-style comic artwork. Then we check out New Warriors #10, where former mutants form a new super hero team. It's very similar to The Initiative, but we're not sure it's as good as The Initiative.New Avengers #39, follows Echo and more of the Skrull story unfolds. We really enjoyed this book and can't wait to see where it goes from here.In the Speed Round we check out Bohda Te, Invincible #49, Amazing Spider-man #554, FX #1, and Thor #7.In our mailbag, Confessor commented and wondered about the importance of colorists. We're going to tell you what we think about colorists and how their work impacts our comic book reading.

      <link>http://vodcast.gmx.net/channel/view/233-pulp-secret-comics-news-and-reviews/86279</link>
<description>For this edition of The Stack, we're reviewing viewer submitted comics. First up is Brian Andersen's debut issue of So Super Duper. This comic book is about a super hero who might be gay but he doesn't know it. We think it's worth a look. Then we check out Warlash #0 from Asylum Press, which we think feels like Judge Dredd meets zombies. And finally we review Blood's Own #1 from Antidote Comics. We're a little critical of this comic, but we definitely enjoyed it and think it's worth picking up. We're looking forward to the second issue.See more from Antidote Comics at Antidotecomics.com Check out the other issues at SoSuperDuper.com and Warlash.com. In our panel discussion we talk about whether comics should be free. Alex thinks so. Watch and find out why.
